“Mina, why am I here right now?” asked a brown haired male clad in black. “My excursion isn’t for another three hours.”
“Well, Jacob,” replied Mina, a strawberry blonde female, “While it is true, your excursion isn’t for another three hours, we’ve got a little surprise for you….”
“Really?” asked Jacob “That’s what the railroad folks told me when they told me that I was going to head the ‘Original steamborg excursion program.’”
“Well….Then you’ll love what we have in store for you!”
Mina said with a smile.
Jacob just sighed and blew steam out of his mouth, he had been wondering all day what said “Surprise” would be but was now sitting at a terminal station in Virginia waiting for whatever it was.
What could it be? Could it be that he was going to be clad in green and gold again?
Could it be that he was going to pull some freight for Norfolk Atlantic? (After all not only did he pull steamborg powered excursions along the rails of the NA as well as it’s predecessor, the Atlantic Railway in the old days.)
Or could it just be another Norfolk Atlantic Employee Appreciation Special?
What exactly was it?
A couple of hours later he found out, as Mina said “Look, Jacob! Here comes your surprise!”
The steamborg known as Jacob-4501 looked up as he heard puffing and chuffing as he saw another steamborg come towards him but it wasn’t just any steamborg (Like his friend David-630)….It was…..
(AN: I’ll stop here, lest I ruin the story for you.)

As the title says, this is an excerpt from a possible story that's been in my head for two days now, I am posting it here to test the waters to see if anyone would be interested in learning what a "Steamborg" is, about Jacob-4501 (Or "Jacob" to his friends.) or about the whole universe I'm trying to create in general.
